November 25, 2025 by Dunphy Communications

The role of artificial intelligence in business and the 2026 economic outlook for Irish SMEs will be the key topics at the annual Business Networking Morning hosted by Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Clare. The event takes place at the Future Mobility Campus Ireland in Shannon from 10am to 1pm this Friday, 28 November.

The half-day gathering brings together entrepreneurs, startups and small business leaders from across Clare to discuss innovation, share knowledge and make new contacts before the festive season.

The keynote address will be presented by Mark Kelly, President of AI Ireland, on how AI can transform not only startups but also established businesses. Having reviewed over 950 AI projects to date, Mr. Kelly advises leaders on how to deploy and scale AI in practical, measurable ways.

Conor Smith, founder of Insight Life Pensions and Investments, will present on the effects of auto enrolment on small businesses.

Michael Queally, managing director of AMQ Accountants and Auditors, will offer an economic outlook for businesses in County Clare and beyond in 2026, drawing on more than 25 years’ experience advising businesses on compliance, strategy, and growth.

The programme also includes a panel discussion with audience participation and further networking opportunities.

Theresa Mulvhill, Senior Enterprise Development Officer, Local Enterprise Office Clare, said the networking event is aimed at supporting the local business community to innovate, connect, and grow in the face of rapid technological and economic change.

“This event provides Clare businesses with the valuable opportunity to come together, share knowledge, and plan for the year ahead,” she explained. “We are urging existing businesses and entrepreneurs to reserve their place at the upcoming event to get a glimpse of what the future holds for enterprise and to network with other professionals.”

Attendance is free, but registration is required via www.localenterprise.ie/Clare.
